Here at Lakewood High School:

 

I have been working here at Lakewood High School since 1999 and am enjoying each year. Aside from teaching German 1-4, I am also the advisor for German Club and for the National Honor Society. 



Education:

 

B.S. in Education - Miami University (study abroad at University of Heidelberg and Humboldt University in Berlin) 

Student Teaching Experience in Mannheim, Germany (Department of Defense Dependents Schools) 

Masters in Curriculum - Cleveland State University (Endorsement in TESOL)

 

Experiences in the German culture:

 

I was born into a German-American family. My father and his parents came to this country from Salzburg,  Austria. As a student, I studied the German language, history and culture in Heidelberg and Berlin. I have taken many trips to Europe with and without students, visiting a variety of cities- always learning more about the history and culture to share within the classroom. It is important for me to keep personal and professional connections alive with a variety of people in the target culture.
